Well, it's nearly the end of March. Easter is next weekend and the clocks go forward for British Summertime. The steam trains are running again after the winter break. The flowers are very slowly beginning to bloom. The ducks are spending more time in the garden, swimming on the pond, having a snooze on the lawn. And Gilbert the goose is back.

But what's happened to Spring!! We've had no snow at all over this last week in this corner of North Yorkshire. It has been very cold with a bitter east wind - but no snow. Usually we get it and nobody else does. This time, it's the other way round. We even had some sunshine today.

It really needs to warm up - this time last year it was lovely and warm with the threat of hosepipe bans. What a difference a year can make.

Well, it's the middle of March and today brought another blanket of snow. The snowdrops are out and the daffodils are in bud. What a mixture! With Easter only a couple of weeks away, let's hope for something better.

It's the 1st March today and the first daffodils are out! A real sign of Spring. What we need now is some sunshine and warmth to go with them. Here's hoping!!
