Sadly, in just two weeks, we are down from 13 ducklings to just four. They are growing and the bigger they get the safer they are. However, although it seems harsh, if every duckling survived, we'd be over run with ducks. It's just nature's way of keeping a balance.

Duck News

Sadly the brood of ducklings has been reduced to seven. There are predators on the river and this happens every year. As each day goes by the ducklings grown bigger and stronger. And there will be further broods hatching over the coming months.

The ducks have been very well fed over this last week by Mark, who was holidaying in the cottage. Goodness knows how many loaves of bread he got through! The ducks will miss him!
