A semi-detached former railway worker's cottage, built in the early 1830s by the Whitby-Pickering Railway Company. Located on the edge of the National Park in the pretty village of Ruswarp, approximately 1.5 miles from Whitby, the cottage sits in a secluded private garden on the banks of the River Esk.
As an old railway property, the cottage sits alongside the North York Moors Steam Railway and the British Rail Esk Valley line.
The owner, Joan Hall, lives next door and offers a friendly welcome and on-the-spot help if required. This traditional cottage offers quality accommodation and facilities at reasonable prices in a spectacular location. Cleanliness is our top priority and we work hard to maintain high standards throughout.
